Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable cycle including invoice processing, verification, and payment scheduling
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with proactive communication
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams on cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and financial regulations
- Analyze payment trends and optimize cash flow management
- Mentor junior AP staff and maintain documentation standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on accounts payable experience in corporate environments
- Expert proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Certification (AP, CAPP, or similar) preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with high-volume processing (500+ invoices monthly)
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate terms
- Knowledge of sales tax compliance and 1099 processing
