Join our dynamic finance team as a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist at Global Tech Solutions Inc. We're seeking a meticulous professional to manage our accounts payable operations in our San Jose headquarters. You'll be pivotal in maintaining financial accuracy, optimizing vendor relationships, and ensuring seamless payment processing in a fast-paced tech environment.
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume invoices and ensure timely payment within 30-day terms
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies proactively
- Manage 1099 vendor compliance and tax documentation
- Collaborate with procurement on vendor contract terms and payment terms
- Implement process improvements to reduce payment cycle time
- Conduct month-end close activities for AP subledger
- Train and mentor junior AP team members
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on accounts payable experience
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- AP certification (CAPP) preferred
