Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage general ledger operations, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and optimize cash flow management
- Develop financial models and conduct variance analysis for budget forecasting
- Lead internal audits and collaborate with external auditors during annual reviews
- Implement process improvements using financial software like QuickBooks and SAP
- Prepare tax documentation and support compliance with federal/state regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting software
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closing and reconciliation processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
