Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15-20 medium-sized businesses
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements and compliance reports
- Lead month-end closing processes with zero-tolerance for errors
- Implement and optimize financial systems using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Conduct in-depth audits and provide strategic tax planning recommendations
- Mentor junior accountants on GAAP compliance and best practices
- Develop customized financial dashboards for client decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Deep understanding of IRS regulations and Kansas state tax codes
- Proven track record in financial statement analysis and reporting
- Exceptional attention to detail with 100% accuracy in deliverables
- Strong communication skills for client presentations and team leadership
- Active CPA license or willingness to obtain within 6 months
