Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for startup and tech clients
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow management
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX requirements
- Lead financial audits and implement internal control improvements
- Collaborate with CFOs on strategic financial planning and forecasting
- Mentor junior accountants and process automation initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public/private accounting experience in tech/startup environments
- Expertise in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Dynamics
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros)
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition (ASC 606) and tax compliance
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced settings
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal/written communication for client interactions
