Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis to management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the Milwaukee team and other regional offices to streamline financial reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not mandatory).
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (Advanced).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with stakeholders across North Carolina and beyond.
