Responsibilities
- <ul><li>Manage daily financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledger records.</li><li>Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.</li><li>Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and inter-company accounts to ensure 100% accuracy.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings, with a specific focus on California tax compliance.</li><li>Process payroll and manage accounts payable/receivable to ensure timely weekly disbursements.</li><li>Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.</li><li>Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and provide variance analysis.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all company policies and local financial regulations.</li></ul>
Qualifications
- <ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.</li><li>CPA certification or active CPA candidate status is highly preferred.</li><li>3+ years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).</li><li>Strong working knowledge of California tax laws and regulations.</li><li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>
