Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Manage general ledger operations including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow management
- Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with GAAP/SEC regulations
- Develop and maintain financial forecasting models for strategic planning
- Lead month-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VLOOKUP/PivotTables)
- Demonstrated expertise in full-cycle accounting and month-end close
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting and presentations
