Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and variance reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and compliance audits.
- Process payroll accurately and on a weekly basis for all employees.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Collaborate with the management team to improve budgeting and forecasting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookup functions.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- CPA certification or Associate in Accounting (AAR) is a plus but not required.
