Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, on a monthly and annual basis.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate, complete, and posted according to GAAP.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and intercompany accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Compliance: Ensure the company remains compliant with federal and state tax regulations and internal policies.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the finance team to optimize accounting processes and improve internal controls.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred; active licensure is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced functions), and ERP systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
