Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger reconciliation and financial statement preparation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support executive decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve budgeting processes and forecast future financial trends.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff on best practices and software usage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
