Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Payroll Management: Process payroll with weekly precision, ensuring all deductions and taxes are calculated correctly and distributed on time.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to resolve discrepancies.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Expense Management: Review and approve expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and budget constraints.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks or NetSuite.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero).
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
