Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the daily operations of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for executive review.
- Reconciliation: Perform complex bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Payroll & Accounts: Assist in the monthly payroll process and manage accounts payable and receivable workflows.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial reporting complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in complex financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Integrity: High level of professionalism and ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information.
