Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger operations and ensure all journal entries are accurate and posted on time.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Perform account reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial reporting systems and workflows.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, federal, and state tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
