Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Prepare and submit tax filings while maintaining compliance with federal/state regulations.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
- Lead audits and provide detailed financial reporting to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and MS Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP).
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and variance analysis.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with competing deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate financial insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience implementing accounting systems and process improvements.
