Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations during weekend shifts (Saturday-Sunday)
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with attention to GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during weekend inspections
- Implement and maintain internal controls for weekend accounting activities
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Oversee weekend payroll processing for non-exempt employees
- Generate financial reports for executive review during off-hours
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with weekend shift exposure
- CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA designation
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel (VBA preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial reporting
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance regulations
