Responsibilities
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and fixed asset accounting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and executive dashboards
- Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Implement and improve internal controls to ensure financial data integrity
- Lead process optimization projects to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide technical guidance on accounting standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public and private sector exposure
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel (advanced functions)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX compliance requirements
- Proven experience in full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations and training
