Job Overview
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will lead key initiatives that streamline our accounting processes and provide actionable insights to management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate financial reporting and reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies with high attention to detail.
- Support the annual budgeting process and assist in forecasting future financial trends.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual reviews and provide necessary documentation.
- Streamline accounts payable and receivable workflows to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and internal controls.
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to solve complex financial problems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
