Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and reported on time.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, maintaining strict control over cash flow and vendor relationships.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and provide variance analysis to management.
- Support external audits by providing required documentation and explaining accounting policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is highly preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a public accounting firm.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
