Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- General Ledger: Manage daily journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and ensure accurate financial data integrity.
- Process Improvement: Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Payroll: Assist in the month-end payroll close process and ensure accurate payroll reporting.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Finance Director and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Auditing: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (CPA/MBA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Certification: CPA certification is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Remote Work: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid environment.
