Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely processing of transactions
- Prepare complex financial statements in compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements for efficiency
- Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure compliance with federal/state tax requirements
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives for executive leadership
- Maintain accurate financial records in ERP systems (SAP experience preferred)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP)
- Proven ability to manage month-end closing processes independently
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with federal/state tax preparation and audit support
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
