Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
- Monitor budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis to management.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA license is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
