Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and submit accurate financial statements, budgets, and variance analyses
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal controls
- Lead cross-functional projects for process optimization and system implementations
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training on financial systems
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and tax preparation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VBA macros a plus)
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, auditing, and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience leading accounting teams and process improvements
