Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the general ledger and financial reporting.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the annual budget preparation and long-term financial forecasting.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely processing.
- Prepare and file necessary tax returns and support external audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA preferred).
- 3 to 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Deep understanding of US GAAP, tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
