Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform complex bank reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure data accuracy.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial processes comply with federal, state, and local laws.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and external auditors during annual audits.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, or Excel (advanced functions) is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to analyze data and detect discrepancies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
