Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for diverse clients
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and industry-specific requirements
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll coordination
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and tax season
- Maintain accurate financial records in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)
- Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives for departmental portfolios
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing month-end closing processes and financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
