Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for executive stakeholders
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely vendor payments
- Develop and implement internal controls to maintain SOX compliance
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Lead financial forecasting and budgeting initiatives
- Optimize accounting workflows using QuickBooks and Excel
- Mentor junior accounting staff on best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX, and tax compliance regulations
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting cycles
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and competing priorities
