Your Role:
Our ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounting process, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly to ensure all discrepancies are resolved.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoicing and payments.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to prevent financial errors or fraud.
- Collaborate with the finance team to forecast budgets and manage cash flow effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
