The Role:
As our Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements and maintaining our fiscal health. You will lead a team of junior accountants and work closely with management to drive strategic financial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with external audit preparations and coordinate with auditors.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations to ensure timely processing.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting support to senior management.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA certification or active CPA candidate status is a significant plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor a small team of accountants.
