As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial health, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic decision-making for our clients and internal operations.
- Manage and oversee the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and general ledger account analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and variance analyses.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Collaborate with the external audit team to facilitate successful audits.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of journal entries and ensure they are posted accurately and timely.
- Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships effectively.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency in the finance department.
- Review and approve invoices and expense reports.
- Provide financial guidance and reporting to senior management.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
