Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Manage general ledger operations and month-end closing processes
- Lead internal audits and ensure SOX compliance for multi-state operations
- Develop financial models for budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process optimization initiatives
- Maintain compliance with federal/state tax regulations (KS/FL focus)
- Mentor junior accountants and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance + 5+ years' progressive experience
- CPA certification required (active license)
- Expertise in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Remote work experience preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
