Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage complex general ledger reconciliations and month-end close processes
- Lead accounts payable/receivable optimization for 500+ vendor relationships
- Develop and implement financial controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate on annual budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Drive process improvements using QuickBooks Online and Excel automation
- Mentor junior accountants through virtual team sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (VBA skills a plus)
- Proven expertise in month-end close and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Remote work experience and self-motivation
- Excellent written and virtual communication abilities
