Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end closes, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX regulations, and internal controls
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare management reports, budgets, and variance analyses for stakeholders
- Lead external audit coordination and tax filing processes
- Maintain accurate documentation in accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Proven track record in month-end closes and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and audits
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to self-manage deadlines in a remote environment
