Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and collections to optimize cash flow.
- Compliance & Audit: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and implement automated solutions to increase efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget preparation and forecasting.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and a strong commitment to deadlines.
