Responsibilities
- Oversee daily general ledger accounting and financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage month-end and year-end close procedures, including reconciling bank accounts and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and internal controls reviews to mitigate financial risk and enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial data and support strategic business decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably within a remote or hybrid work environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating complex financial data for non-financial stakeholders.
