Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, FASB, and local state regulations.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices for financial data management.
- Prepare and file necessary local and federal tax returns as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (CPA, CMA) preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis and budgeting principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
