Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement
- Prepare and submit accurate tax filings while ensuring compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and budget variance analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making through financial insights
- Implement and optimize accounting systems for efficiency and accuracy
- Mentor junior accounting staff and conduct internal audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience a plus)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and reducing costs
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication abilities to present complex financial data to stakeholders
- Experience managing remote teams and virtual collaboration tools
