Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and variance analyses for senior management.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed accurately.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Compliance: Ensure all tax filings and regulatory requirements are met, including working with external auditors.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
