Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Manage complex general ledger reconciliations and account analysis
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with precision
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Develop and implement internal controls to enhance financial operations
- Conduct audits and special projects as requested by senior leadership
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and reconciliation processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance (IL/IN focus)
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a remote work environment
