Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights to senior management.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Ensure tax compliance by filing necessary returns and staying updated on regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA certification preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or CPA firm environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience working in a remote or hybrid work setting.
