Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual audits and tax filings, working closely with external auditors.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices for efficiency.
- Provide financial reporting support to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or remote environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
