Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end closes, and financial reporting
- Lead audit preparation and compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Analyze financial data to drive strategic business decisions and cost optimization
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and vendor relationships
- Develop and implement financial controls to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA certification required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Excel modeling
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance and audit processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting and presentations
