Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with accurate reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and ensure timely processing
- Oversee payroll processing for 50+ employees with multi-state compliance
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures with journal entries
- Develop and maintain internal controls for financial integrity
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Implement process improvements using accounting software integrations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel advanced functions
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance (CO, TX, CA)
- Strong GAAP knowledge and SOX compliance understanding
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance
- Remote work experience with demonstrated self-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
