Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Assist with local and federal tax preparation, filings, and compliance audits.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Implement and improve internal financial controls and reporting procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is strongly preferred.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of US tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Self-motivated with a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
