Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance reporting
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and ensure timely processing
- Oversee general ledger maintenance and reconciliation activities
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with audit coordination
- Develop financial models and forecasting reports for strategic decision-making
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and evolving tax regulations in California
- Train junior staff on accounting software and financial best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in tech or startup environments
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Excel macros
- Demonstrated success with multi-entity accounting structures
- Experience with daily pay implementation and payroll processing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Remote work experience with proven self-management abilities
- Active California CPA license required
