Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and ensure compliance with GAAP/SOX regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparations
- Develop and implement financial controls to enhance operational efficiency
- Lead special projects like system implementations or process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, or advanced ERP systems
- Expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with multi-state tax regulations (IL/VA a plus)
