Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence
- Manage month-end/year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Lead internal audits and implement robust internal controls for financial systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize budgeting and forecasting processes
- Develop and maintain financial models for strategic decision-making and client presentations
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven track record of managing multi-state compliance and tax filings
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail in financial reporting
- Strong communication abilities for presenting complex financial data to stakeholders
