Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed accurately and timely.
- Manage general ledger accounts, perform variance analysis, and prepare journal entries as needed.
- Assist with external audits and internal controls implementation to ensure financial integrity.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial plans.
- Support tax compliance activities and ensure all regulatory requirements are met for the Georgia region.
- Streamline accounting processes and recommend best practices for efficiency and cost reduction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification is highly desired but not strictly required for this role.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior-level capacity.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting strict deadlines.
