Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements for stakeholders and leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Lead cross-functional projects to enhance financial systems and processes
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training on best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA required)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VBA knowledge a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and audits
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
