Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize general ledger operations with precision and timeliness
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes with thorough reconciliations
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls ensuring GAAP compliance and SOX adherence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Streamline accounting workflows through process automation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support external audits and tax preparation with accurate documentation and analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Expert proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite/SAP) and advanced Excel modeling
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and multi-state tax regulations
- Proven track record of leading financial reporting cycles for mid-sized companies
- Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities for presenting complex financial insights to stakeholders
